After advice from donors it was decided to establish a new local committee to operate KPHMN. This committee was established May 9, 2008. Local women are a part of the new committee. An application has been forwarded to the Chief District Health Office so that the Medical Centre administration can be approved. The centre will continue to operate in the future run by the local people, and known as KPHMN, aiming to maintain and improve the basic medical facilities available at the centre.

The Medical Centre was visited and inspected by the Chief District Officers on May 8, 2008. Government support has been assured but this will be negligible due to Nepal’s economic and geographic limitations.

Health Camp
Kushudebu Public Health Mission Nepal in April 2007 conducted a 3 day health camp in which people had come from 2 days walking distance to attend the camp. The Health Camp provided orthopedic, pediatric, gynacology and obstetrics, and general medical consultations and treatments. More than 600 people received treatment at the Health Camp. There were specialist doctors from Kathmandu in attendance at the camp.
This was the first time a Health Camp had been organised for this remote, mountainous region and it is hoped that more Health Camps such as this will be held in the future. The local people supported the Health Camp and would like these camps to be regular events.
This event was also telecast on Nepal's National Television Channel.
